Global Commercial Operations Lead

POSITION SUMMARY

The Global Commercial Operations Lead will work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and the global commercial leadership team to lead strategic initiatives, manage day to day programs and enhance communication between geographies and departments. This role will report directly to the CCO and will be part of the global commercial leadership team. This role will be highly visible in the organization. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in management roles, with a focus on supporting/advising senior leaders and facilitating interdepartmental collaboration.  

Major Responsibilities

  • Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution
  • Oversee daily operations through collaboration with the CCO and his direct reports, performing an array of administrative tasks from planning and coordinating meetings, managing flow of information, decision logs and minutes, generating correspondence for follow up, maintaining hard copy and electronic files, and scheduling facilities
  • Assist the leadership team in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation
  • Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity
  • Serve as liaison between staff, senior leaders, and CCO, regarding company climate, employee well-being, project updates, proposals, and planning
  • Assist HR partners with new hires, including documentation and onboarding, and collaborate to address employee concerns
  • Build and develop relationships with senior leaders across the organization to improve increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations, and help to define new operational strategies
  • Serve as a facilitator and a subject matter expert (when needed), handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Candidate Qualifications:

  • BS/BA with MBA (preferred)
  • 10+ years of successful experience in operational roles in managerial/leadership capacity and/or experience in advisory roles to senior leaders or leadership teams
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic thinking and problem analysis
  • Proven experience in managing projects, workflows and organizing information flows
  • Ability to grasp complex business problems and help simplify complexity
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate across the organization
  • Proven ability to plan, anticipate operational challenges and develop contingencies
