Sr. Accountant

The Senior Accountant will be a valuable member of the Finance and Accounting team, assisting in the day to day accounting, in collaboration with other members of the finance team, including the preparation of general ledger entries, account reconciliations, financial statement analysis and ad hoc projects. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for Cash, Investments, Fixed Assets, Prepaids, and Accruals.


  • Organize and coordinate the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close for responsible areas
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for Cash, Prepaid, Fixed Assets and Accrued Expenses
  • Assist with preparation of reports for quarterly line manager meetings
  • Assist in preparing quarterly meetings with business partners to ensure accurate monthly accrual estimates
  • Assist in ensuring all journal entries are properly documented and scanned
  • Assist with monthly consolidations including required elimination entries
  • Manage chart of accounts and departments for financial reports
  • Support the AP team in ensuring proper invoice coding and batch review/post
  • Validate integration of all subsystems into Netsuite/GP and resolve any integration issues
  • Prepare support for audit requests, and respond to inquiries from external auditors
  • Participate and support the maintenance of Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of the Company‚Äôs federal, state, and local tax returns
  • Assist in developing operational procedures and establishing process efficiencies
  • Support other finance / ad hoc projects as necessary


  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting/related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • CPA is a plus
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and internal controls
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Experience working at a pharmaceutical and/or biotech company preferred
  • Great Plains, Netsuite, Concur, and Coupa experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to identify organizational opportunities and to effectively implement new processes and internal controls preferred
  • Ability to work individually and collaboratively in changing environments
  • Excellent attention to detail and well organized with strong problem solving skills
