Sr. Manager, Pipeline Marketing

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Pipeline Marketing will be responsible for developing strategic plans and driving execution of pre-launch and launch activities. A key focus will be market development for MT1621, our neuromuscular/mitochondrial disease pipeline product. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support global and US commercial strategies and execution of programs for pipeline products, across customer segments (patients, HCPs, payers, etc)
  • Evaluate market opportunities and lead appropriate market development/ pre-launch activities
  • Lead key pre-launch activities, with a focus on the US market, which could include:
    • Disease Awareness – identify and build awareness for addressing key unmet, urgent needs for patients/caregivers
    • Patient Diagnosis – determine most effective and efficient means to drive patient diagnosis that fits within business objectives and available resources
    • Customer Engagement – develop sustainable and purposeful plans for engagement with physicians, patient advocacy organizations and payers
    • Brand Strategy – brand planning, segmentation, targeting, positioning, message development and value story development
  • Drive patient diagnosis:
    • Work closely with R&D, Medical Affairs and Patient Advocacy teams (in US and Europe) on education initiatives
    • Characterize the patient journey to diagnosis – identify tests performed and common misdiagnoses, specialists involved, and barriers encountered
    • Determine best messages, target audiences and tactics for education and diagnostic programs, which could involve partnering with diagnostic labs, physicians, patient organizations and payers; examples could include digital programs, congress activities and pilot programs
    • Manage communication materials, such as printed collateral and digital assets
    • Identify and monitor key performance metrics to optimize programs
  • Define key market insights required to support business plan and forecast drivers, and partner with market research team and/or vendors
  • Manage vendor/agency relationships, budgets and timelines
  • Partner with the Promotional Review Committee (PRC), including Legal and Regulatory, to ensure development, approval, and pull-through of compliant and effective promotional tactics
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Life Sciences.
  • MBA or consulting experience preferred
  • 6+ years of biotech/ pharma commercial experience, strong preference for rare disease marketing experience
  • Pharma digital marketing experience
  • Personal and non-personal (digital) marketing expertise preferred
  • Willing/Available to travel up to 20% of the time, both domestically and internationally
